Today is a very exciting day for me as I can finally share my shiny new website with you! And why would I need a new website I hear you ask? Well it’s to showcase my artwork and prints for all to see and I can’t wait for you all to check out what I’ve been up to.
While I may have been quieter than I’d like on here, it was for a good reason. I’ve been dedicated to getting my new business ‘Ink & Folly’ prints, up and off the ground so there hasn’t been time for much else. It is with much excitement that I invite you to pop over and have a look at my work. I’m still building up my online portfolio but that will grow gradually as all my prints start with sketches which are then cut into lino and printed up, so it’s a process which can’t be rushed.
I’ve been really enjoying the whole experience of learning a new creative skill which you may have read about in my previous post ‘Well That Was Unexpected‘. Obviously the small matter of running a business in between school runs isn’t without it’s challenges but it’s very rewarding to see your work appreciated by happy customers.
Unfortunately this means I don’t have the time available to do both Ink & Folly and Mess & Merlot (sad face) so I’ll be blogging over on the new website going forward. I’ll really miss my blog especially my bloggy friends on here but I would love to be able to keep in contact via Instagram if any of you are active on there? You can see what I’m up to at ink_and_folly_prints come and say hello!
Mess & Merlot has been such a great experience for me, from building up the courage to publish my first ever blog post, to actually meeting some of my fellow bloggers for real at events like Blogfest. I’ll be sad to say good bye to it but I know it’s for a good reason and I hope you will be able to follow me in my new venture! Thank you so much to those who have read, commented or helped me out on here, it is appreciated. The blogging community are such a friendly bunch but I just wanted to give a special little nod and some virtual hugs to some superstars who’ve made this all a fun ride – cheers girls!
